AquaNirmal Desinfektor
On its way to the consumer drinking water is permanently in danger to become contaminated again:
a) through water mains which from waterworks to tapping point are not hygienically impeccable and
b)  through  sanitary, plumbing and water pipes within the consumers housing facilities.
The greatest danger arises when water remains in the water pipes for longer periods and
germinates. Thus, biofilms are formed on the surfaces of the water pipes, offering shelter
and nutrition to bacteria and viruses, such as for example with amoebas being host
animals to legionella, which are settling and multiply.
More and more legionella become the nightmare for water hygienists. They invade
through the shower hose and bath tube and may be inhaled during the shower, causing severe bacterial 
pneumonia.
There are different methods for the disinfection of water
mains und the combat against
legionella. We offer our clients a safe, soft and
environmentally friendly
solution to this problem: the
AquaNirmal Desinfektor. It produces chlorinedioxide at
site, in the dosage required for
the respective water mains and along the proven acid-
chlorite-method. Production
and proportioning of the CLO2 solution is monitored a.o.
through conductivity electrode
measuring and level control sensors.
Volume proportioning of the CLO2 dosage is done along the  German Drinking Water Regulations and the control
of the concentrate is ensured through a COL2 measuring device.
CLO2 offers effective protection against germs and bacteria (a.o. legionella). It penetrates the
cell wall and reacts with the amino acids of the bacterial cell and deadens and inactivates it.
With the various models of the AquaNirmal Desinfektor it is possible to disinfect drinking
water volumes from 10 m3 / day to 100 10 m3 / day. The CLO2 concentration is extremely
minute and varies between 0,05 – 0,2 mg/L.
Ideally, the AquaNirmal Desinfektor is connected with an ROC-M container-waterworks, or with an ROC-M 200
storage tank. Independently, the Desinfektor may also be used effectively with other already existing or still to
build water mains. This fo rexample is extremely beneficial if old, existing water pipes need to be disinfected
sustainable and it is impossible to renew the pipings.
With the AquaNirmal Desinfektor enormous cost savings with regards to energy consumption are possible. The
most frequently used method to combat the germination of warm water systems is the lead temperature to over
70 C, even if a temperature between 50 – 55 C would suffice. With the Desinfektor, this is no longer necessary.
