RO ACR compact container plant

In contrast to vast resources of brackish and / or seawater, worldwide, there is an acute, escalating shortage of freshwater. In many areas, freshwater sources are at or near their limit and unquestionably, many water systems are antiquated, deteriorating quickly and in serious need of a complete upgrading. Clearly, water management is required.
This means the economic and ecological use of available water resources and their perpetual, efficient recycling and purification is a huge problem.

Continuously we are approached by clients asking to combine the know-how in hydro & oxygen cyclone techniques with reverse osmosis and also to include ultrafiltration where it will be benefical for performance and cost savings in the desalination of sea and brakish water and the purification of contaminated raw water sources along World Health Organisation' guidelines (WHO).
This is how the RO ACR (Reverse Osmosis - Aqua Cleaning & Revitalisation) compact container water treatment plant was designed as a completely new product.
It is a highly developed standard system, covering most requirements but with the benefit of being able to include individual features to suit virtually all local circumstances and requirements. The “magic” is that “plug” the container to raw water and power sources and immediately best water is obtained for most purposes !

RO ACR Concept
RO ACR
– Plants are designed for the production of drinking water according to WHO guidelines. They are tailored to suit the source water qualities of the client and consist of standard equipment, plus special implements to remedy particular contaminants, as per the local circumstances and chemical water analyses.
The automotive industry is using so-called “platforms” to build its range of luxury and model derivatives, like saloons, pick-ups or station wagons. We will avail ourselves of a similar approach in order to produce cost effectively. With the RO ACR, the “platform” will consist of a standardised set of equipment fitted into the container. The “tailoring” of the RO ACR to customers’ needs will then be done by dedicated process tools. Membrane processes such as reverse osmosis have a great significance in water treatment and are capable to remove nitrates, nitrogen, microbiological & metal contamination. With the RO ACR it is possible to reach most of the physico-chemical parameters set forth by approving agencies.

RO ACR plants are the downscaled “popular” version of the large desalination units and are designed for self-sufficient application, neither causing major construction work, nor demanding much ground space. They are competitively priced and normally, the national & international finance, rental & leasing industries are happy to have them in their portfolio. Our trade partners in the various markets will take care of service & maintenance.

Each plant will be different because of varying raw water qualities and quantities with clients. Our general terms & conditions for the supply of mechanical, electrical and electronic products are based on ORGALIME SE 01. They foresee that tests will be executed before the shipment will be effected. Because of this, each RO ACR container plant will undergo an official inspection before delivery using raw water samples from the client. Following successful tests and confirmation by the German inspection institute, such as the TÜV or DEKRA, shipment will be effected.

With surface and groundwater options either running dry or proving greatly unreliable, experts are looking to treat sea and brackish water through desalination. Two decades ago, in many parts of the world, the dugwell in the apartment block met the drinking water needs of the residents. Now, many of the wells have gone dry. For a short period, borewells were thought to fill the gap. With sinking sub surface water levels, however, borewells need to be driven deeper and deeper, which in coastal cities is kamikaze with seawater intruding the groundwater, making it non-potable.
